To Read or Not to Read

Hello everyone. I am Henri and I am from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am a biology major and this is my senior year at the Purple Nation.
I am not much of a reader in general. The best book I ever read was "the old man and the sea" by Hemingway. I like reading short stories because I have an attention span of a hummingbird. It is really hard to read long stories as I drift along lines which probably is very common for all of us.
I am taking this class to meet requirement for humanities credit but it seems like I would have to read a lot. I am upto the challenge and in the meantime I expect to like fiction more by the end of the semester.
